One Friday when Abby was off hanging out with my parents, Reese and I just hung out at home. I tried to catch up on laundry, do some cleaning, etc. Every time I turned around to check on Reese, it seemed like she was lying back in some chair just chillin'.

LOL!
Abby asks all sorts of questions and when she does, I usually try to be as honest as I can with a 5 year old. So when she asked me what girl's private parts are called, I told her. Her response..."Vagina is a beautiful word. It sounds like a country". Needless to say, I almost fell over in laughter.

Pictures, pictures, and more pictures
Can you tell I'm trying to make up for some lost time? For the past few months I sort of lagged on keeping up with this blog. So I've been downloading pics from our Facebook pages, to make sure I add them to the blog. Some of these are a few months old or older.
Abby's first trophy for The River Park Raccoons soccer team, Under 6 Champions.
Reese loves her new bathroom. Bathroom remodel with new floor, added new paint and wainscoting on the walls, new sink and vanity/mirror, and new toilet.
Can you say A Christmas Story? This jacket totally makes me think of that movie. And Reese looks thrilled to be in it, don't you think?
Abby dressing up like Mommy in my coat and Red Sox cap.
Some Abby attitude. This says it all...
This is how we wash our windows now that we don't have a cleaning lady anymore. We sure do miss Bailey!
But we have discovered that Reese likes to try and clean the kitchen floor. She takes a kitchen towel and tries to mop up Scout's mess that she leaves after she has taken a drink from her bowl.
Another John pic. This time Reese is trying to hide her blueberries between her toes.
Abby making a Christmas ornament at her preschool's Christmas party.

Some swinging fun!
John and his shenanigans while he is home with Reese. I swear he sets her up to take these kind of photos.Abby making a Christmas ornament at her preschool's Christmas party.
This is what happens when you say no to Reese, especially when what she was asking for was another cookie. We often times hear her yelling, "No dog, my coo coo", when Scout is following her around in hopes of a dropped cookie.
Kitchen Counter
Our counter has become a little hiding place for the girls. Reese is always under there trying to "hide" from us, and occasionally we'll find them both hiding together.
This was taken one night when we told Reese it was time for bed. Love how she is poking her little head out to see us.
Then the girls were trying to sneak graham crackers from us. Funny part is that there was really no need for the sneakiness. But they were having fun!

Bath Pics
Johnny loves taking pics of the girls wrapped up in their bath towels. Our little wet monkeys are very photogenic.
Abby Quote of the Day
Abby does not eat cake, only frosting. I gave her a cupcake today and I told her that it was kind of weird that she only eats the frosting. Her reply was, "well, of course it is. I'm a weird girl."
That you are sweetie. That you are.

Potty Time
Look who's showing some interest. John caught this one the other day. It's so funny, because Reese doesn't actually go on the potty, but she makes a sound like she's going pee.

Broken washer
I knew we were in trouble the other day when I heard our washer start making a loud screechy grinding noise. My first though...I bet some of Abby's tiny rocks got down into it. Sure enough, the washer konked out on us and it's not even that old. We called a repair man and $134 later, he found the problem...
This is what Abby calls her "treasure". Little pieces of things that she finds in the school play yard and wherever else. Notice I was right about the rocks. We did find one, but there were other "treasures" as well. A white bead, a penny, a broken zipper, a red stick of some sort, and a couple round metal things.
We're back in business doing laundry now, but I'm much more aware of the need to check Abby's pockets every time I put her clothes in the washer.

Pictures...
Let's see if I can catch everyone up on what has been going on with The Wigglesworth girls by using some recent pictures that we've taken.
Doesn't everyone practice their putting technique in heels? Reese is trying on Aunt Shelly's shoes. She loves walking around the house in other people's shoes, and particularly loves wearing the dress up princess shoes. We can usually here a click clack on the wooden floors when Reese is coming into the room. I think I already posted this before, but it's so cute it deserves a double post.
This can be seen on a daily basis. These two cuddle together all of the time. Reese gives out kisses constantly. Abby will sometimes act like she's sad just so Reese will give her a kiss. Reese will say, "It okay Abby." So darling!
Climbing climbing, and more climbing. We have had to put up little barriers in different places to make sure Reese can't get up on things. Here she is on Abby's bed side table and knocking over the lamp.
Showing off her new hat and gloves passed on from a neighborhood mom.
Sometimes she just can't wait to fall asleep and we find her like this in her high chair. Yes, she's still very attached to her pacifiers.
Movie night at The Scattons.
Reese heading in for a kiss from Maxwell. You can't see it really well, but Max actually has a little smirk on his face. He's already working the ladies. This can be seen on a daily basis. Remember what I said about those high heels...

Old eyes?
So John realized the other day that he wasn't seeing things as clearly as he used to. He went out and bought some readers. Yes, I said readers!
Trying to read his phone
He doesn't look too bad in them (minus the silly face)
Reese and Abby...always playing around with each other.

Yahtzee at Shelly's
While John was gone one weekend, we spent some time with Aunt Shelly. We went to a local park near her house and then came back to play some games. Shelly pulled out the Yahtzee and the girls played too.

Cheerleader?
This video was taken back in September. I guess she's practicing to be a cheerleader. She came up with this one all on her own.
Abby in a nutshell
This picture says it all. We're at the Blastos residence and Abby is playing with Cassidy and Evie. Darc got the paints out and the girls took their clothes off to have some real painting fun. Abby didn't want to take her dress off. She really doesn't like getting messy. Look how she is examining her hands that have paint all over them and the look on her face says it all. This pic makes me crack up. What's that song from Sesame Street? Which kid is doing her own thing? At least she has a mind of her own. Maybe this means she won't succumb to peer pressure later on in her teenage years. A mom can only hope.
Abby Quotes
I just found a bunch of post it notes and papers where I had jotted down funny things that Abby had said. Here they are:
9/17/12: "Can you kiss me because I accidentally got too much lipstick on."
9/21/12: "I hope you're still alive when I became a mommy, because I'm going to invite you to my wedding."
9/22/12: "I think when I grow up my husband will be a pilot."
9/28/12: While mommy was doing some exercises on the floor...
"I can help you with your butt exercises, Mommy, but I don't know if my butt needs to get any smaller. It's already small."
10/22/12: "I hope I can marry Max, because he's the only one I can think of."
"I don't need ear muffins." (talking about ear muffs)
